My Background…

I was born in Yorkshire, and enjoyed a great childhood before later settling in the West Midlands.  By the time I was 21, I was married and become a mother.  I was a stay at home mum and house wife for many years, but I was always drawn to helping people, I use to help people in my community and also did some voluntary work.

Work Life…

When I turned 40, I wanted a change.  I decided to go back into education and applied to De Montfort University to study Social Work.  Social Work became my calling due to the community work I had done whilst raising my family.

I’ve been a qualified social worker for 8 years, firstly in a safeguarding team, before I moved to ACS.

My Faith…

I follow the path of Islam and enjoy practising my religion. I get peace and stay calm when I pray and Islam guides me and keeps me in check with being a good human being. I enjoy helping others and always try my best.

My ACS…

I was attracted to ACS as a faith based agency, I’ve been with the organisation since 2016, I really enjoy working for a fostering agency that has the same values as myself.  It’s a really hard working team with a brilliant bunch of great foster carers.

Faces of Fostering…

We highlight the people that make Active Care Solutions so different and so special.  We are proud to be a fostering agency that welcomes people of all faith (including those that are not religious) where your religious needs are respected and understood.  We are an ethnically diverse organisation where people work together with one common goal.  To make a difference for young people in foster care.
