Interested in fostering a Catholic child?

As specialists in Catholic foster care, we know how important it is for children to stay connected to their faith during what is a very turbulent and confusing time. That’s why we pride ourselves on our bespoke faith-based foster care services, enabling Roman and Irish Catholic children to live with foster parents that can support their religious needs and provide love, stability and care.

At ACS, we need more Catholic fostering families for when young children and teens are unable to live with their birth families. This could be due to abuse, neglect or a breakdown in the family. That’s why they need the love and support from Catholic foster care families who can help them stay strong and recover from past trauma. Not only would you be giving a vulnerable child a safe, caring home, but you’d also help maintain a strong sense of identity, which is incredibly important for a child’s development. From observing religious holidays to attending mass, living with foster parents who share the same values as them can help Catholic children in care make positive changes for the future.

If you’re interested in becoming a foster parent to a Catholic child or teenager, please get in touch today. With our expertise as a Catholic foster care agency and your dedication to giving young people a fresh start, we can change children’s lives for the better.

Could you offer a safe and stable home to a Roman Catholic child for as long as they need it?

Fostering with a specialist UK Catholic fostering agency

All children deserve a stable, happy childhood. Especially those who have experienced loss, pain and trauma at a young age. That’s why it’s our mission to make this happen for the children and young people in our care. But we don’t stop there. We work hard to match Catholic foster children with suitable foster carers that can meet their religious and cultural needs. As many Catholic families have multiple children, this also means we go above and beyond to find families that can foster siblings and keep those bonds alive.

Being a multi-faith foster care agency with a multi-disciplined team of professionals, we have extensive knowledge and first-hand experience of different religions, traditions and cultures that we ensure our foster parents benefit from. It’s about providing the best care possible so that these young Catholic children can grow into strong, confident individuals while they’re unable to live at home.

Why is ACS right for you?

We’re one of the only independent fostering agencies providing bespoke cultural and faith-based foster placements. Being inclusive and celebrating diversity are incredibly important values to us. That’s why whatever your language is, we’ll speak it, and whatever your religion is, we’ll respect it.

Catholic fostering requirements

There are a few basic requirements that all foster parents must meet in order to care for a child:

  • You have a spare bedroom?
  • You are over 21 years old?
  • You enjoy the company of young people?
  • You have a sense of humour and the ability to see the positive wherever possible?

Couples as foster parents who want to do long-term fostering can provide that solid foundation a Catholic child might be used to or desire, however, your marital status isn’t what’s important to us. You can foster as a single person, or you can be married. What’s truly important to us is that you’re able to raise a Catholic child in a safe and stable environment that can meet their needs.

If this is you, we’d love to hear from you.
